Why I became a cosplayer

When I first cosplayed, it wasn’t out of love… it was to mess with my friends at a con and then hit the bars in costume for a laugh. Let’s just say… the only reason I remember that night is because there’s video evidence. But besides getting the taste of beer and other drinks, I also got a taste of cosplay.

I started posting my cosplays like I was committing a crime… low brightness, no hashtags, praying no one I knew would see it…. But then my Asuna cosplay exploded. 300k views. 10k followers. I remember waking up to a phone so full of notifications that I felt like Sabrina Carpenter. That was it. One Asuna post and suddenly my digital footprint had boots, colored contacts, fake eyelashes, and 25k witnesses. No going back now…
